Vision & Values
HAR Cultural Foundation Ltd envisions a flourishing multicultural community where people—especially newly arrived migrants and vulnerable individuals—experience genuine belonging, wellbeing, and hope. We believe that cultural heritage and intercultural understanding play a vital role in enriching the public life of Australia, strengthening social cohesion, and nurturing communities where diversity is respected and celebrated.
Our work is grounded in a strong commitment to public benefit. We seek to create measurable and meaningful social outcomes by addressing disadvantage, strengthening inclusion, and supporting participation in community life. We value inclusion and belonging, recognising the dignity of every individual and creating spaces where people from different backgrounds can connect, contribute, and be heard.
Dignity and care are central to how we serve. We are attentive to the needs of those who experience vulnerability, offering support that is empathetic, respectful, and practical. Alongside this, we see ourselves as stewards of culture—honouring cultural heritage, encouraging cultural expression, and fostering intercultural dialogue that deepens understanding across communities.
To bring our vision and values into practice, the Foundation delivers a range of reading, culture, education, and community-based initiatives. These include reading groups and themed learning programs, cultural talks and exhibitions, intercultural dialogue, community gatherings, and intergenerational activities. We also collaborate with churches, schools, and community organisations to develop partnerships and projects that serve the public good.
HAR Cultural Foundation Ltd is a not-for-profit charitable organisation and does not operate for profit. All income and resources are applied solely to advancing our charitable purposes and public benefit, including the delivery of programs, community support, education and cultural activities, and collaborative initiatives with partner organisations to strengthen and serve the wider community.
